Hi-def comes to those who wait

We switched our cable tv service from Comcast to Qwest last year to save some money ( a good $50 per month), and for the most part we were very pleased with the service. Qwest offered us digital cable, DSL, local phone service and unlimited long-distance service for less money than Comcast was charging us for just digital cable and internet. The one thing I had to give up was HDTV. Qwest’s digital tv service (Qwest Choice) did not offer HDTV. The money was worth it, so we’ve done without hi-def for the better part of a year.

Fortunately, Qwest is now enabling HDTV on Qwest Choice! It’s an extra $15 a month, which is a little bit pricy, but we still end up saving $35 a month over using Comcast, so I’m not complaining too much. The Qwest installer is coming this Friday: Friday evening I’ll finally be able to enjoy the awesomeness of my hi-def set!
