Red vs. Blue closes up shop

June 26th, 2007

Wow, I am actually ending my string of consecutive “Links for XX-XX-XXXX” posts (sometimes I think that del.icio.us makes that too easy) and writing an actual entry in this here blog. And wouldn’t you know, it’s a sad one.  (via Wired): “Red vs. Blue, the cult hit, web-video series created from in-game Halo footage, concludes its genre-defining run as it airs its 100th and final episode Wednesday evening.”

Red -vs- Blue is so good and so funny that I often forget it’s being done via Halo. The writing is excellent, and the humor is actually funny. I am still partial to the first season, myself. There’s something about the way the characters are introduced that just tickled my fancy. I’ll “tune in” for the series finale tomorrow night, and then it’ll be time to fire up the time machine and watch the other 99 episodes, just to remind me what I missed
