Now this is my idea of an educational game:
Depending on how you touch the bunny, it reacts to being touched.
Players manipulate the creature (bunny) on the touchscreen, which gives them magical energy to fly
You can touch the bunny in different ways – stroking, scratching, tickling, etc
A game that teaches a person how to bring [...]

Well, to be more precise, these are video games which are emulated in Java, with a web-based front-end to find and launch games. But the end result is that one finds and plays video games directly from your browser!
Theoretically, this is browser- and platform-independent: as long as your platform can run a jvm and your [...]

Take one part Quake 4, mix in one part iD’s official Linux binaries, one part Quake 4 Linux FAQ and one part patience. Mix them all together and you have one of the best games for Linux ever!
It took a bit of work, partially because of problems with the libsdl installed on Debian-based systems (including [...]

Talk about a blast from the past! TV Cream is running an article listing the Top 100 Toys from the ’70s and ’80s. Looking through the list has been a blast. I didn’t have a lot of the toys growing up, but it’s been quite fun seeing the ones that I did have. My favorite [...]

I’m not a big fan of role playing games in general, and Blizzard’s World of Warcraft in particular. But any game that models a world realistic enough for a plague to ravage its inhabitants is pretty cool in my book!

First, a little back story here. I love pretty much Legend of Zelda game that has ever been made. I rememeber standing in line to get the original game for the Nintendo Game System. I played it for hours. I tried to play every game that was released since then. And I waited with baited [...]

This is one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen in a while: a Legend of Zelda music video. It’s obviously sponsored by Nintendo, and probably came out a decade ago (I wasn’t watching closely for a copyright notice). Link looks like a woman. The monsters are played by dancers in costumes. It’s all so… [...]

OMG! OH MY GOD this game looks beautiful! Zelda Universe has a high-res trailer for the next Legend of Zelda game up right now. The game looks even better than I imagined. This is actually a pretty impressive use of the Gamecube.
I really, really need to finish Ocarina of Time so I can move on [...]
